भारत सरकार ने विकसित भारत–गारंटी फॉर रोजगार
एवं आजीविका मिशन (ग्रामीण) [ VB–G
RAM G ] अधिनियम, 2025 के तहत संशोधित
मजदूरी दरों की अधिसूचना जारी की है, जो 1 जुलाई 2026 से लागू है । इसका उद्देश्य ग्रामीण आजीविका को सशक्त बनाना, आय सुरक्षा बढ़ाना तथा क्षेत्रीय
वेतन असमानताओं को कम करना है ।
नई अधिसूचना के अनुसार 300 रुपये प्रतिदिन
की अंतरिम न्यूनतम आधार मजदूरी निर्धारित की गई है, जिससे किसी भी राज्य में मजदूरी 300 रुपये से कम नहीं
रहेगी । 21
राज्यों/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों को इस नए न्यूनतम स्तर तक लाया गया है । राष्ट्रीय
औसत अधिसूचित मजदूरी 298.8
रुपये से बढ़कर 327.4
रुपये प्रतिदिन हो गई है, जो
लगभग 10% से अधिक की औसत
वृद्धि दर्शाती है।
कम मजदूरी वाले राज्यों, जैसे अरुणाचल
प्रदेश, नागालैंड, बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश, झारखंड, असम, पश्चिम बंगाल, मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ और
ओडिशा को सबसे अधिक लाभ मिला है । वहीं हरियाणा (₹409), गोवा
(₹406), केरल
(₹401) तथा
सिक्किम के ऊँचाई वाले क्षेत्रों (₹450)
में मजदूरी 400 रुपये
प्रतिदिन से अधिक हो गई है ।
यह अधिनियम 125 दिनों की
गारंटीकृत रोजगार व्यवस्था, पारदर्शी वेतन
निर्धारण और बेहतर ग्रामीण आय के माध्यम से गरीब कल्याण, अंत्योदय तथा
विकसित भारत @2047 के
लक्ष्य को मजबूत करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है ।

Notified the revised wage rates
under the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, 1. Background & Structural Shift Nationwide Implementation : The
Government of India has notified the revised wage rates under the Viksit
Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) or VB-G RAM G
Act, 2025, effective 1 July 2026. Expanded Mandate :
Replacing the earlier rural employment framework (MGNREGA), the new Act
expands the livelihood safety net by guaranteeing 125 days of wage employment
per financial year to eligible rural households. 2. Key Features & New Wage Benchmarks National Floor Rate : For the
first time, a mandatory interim base wage rate of ₹300
per day has been introduced. This eliminates lower slabs (which previously
went as low as ₹241/day), directly
upgrading 21 States and administrative units to this new baseline. Hike in National Average : Wages
have been revised across all 34 States/UTs and wage regions. The national
average notified wage has risen from ₹298.8 to
₹327.4 per day—marking an average increase of ₹28.6
per day (over 10%). 3. Regional Rebalancing & State-Wise
Impact Bridging Wage Disparities : The
policy prioritizes equity by giving the highest percentage increase of nearly
24.5% to historically low-wage states like Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland,
alongside major boosts to UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Upward Revision for High-Wage States: States
already above the baseline also received systematic hikes. Four regions now exceed
₹400/day: Sikkim (High
Altitude GPs) leads at ₹450,
followed by Haryana (₹409),
Goa (₹406),
and Kerala (₹401). 4. Strategic Significance Scientific Determination: Wages
are calculated using an objective, transparent methodology that pairs annual
indexation with the new interim base rate to counter inflation. Socio-Economic Development : By
combining a 125-day work guarantee with enhanced wages, the mission
drives rural purchasing power, fosters durable asset creation, and aligns
with the national visions of Garib Kalyan, Antyodaya, and a Viksit Bharat
